This homeowner in Claremont, CA. was looking for a way to bring in the views to their bedroom as well as allow for evenings watching the sun set over LA. The idea was to create as much of a maintenance free project as possible. This project utilized “Trex” decking and the all aluminum “Imperial Wood” lattice patio by Sun Boss Corp. The structural aspect are all pre-painted douglas fir and all the fasteners used were hidden via the “Trex” fastener system. The deck is large enough for two tables and a couple of chaise lounges, all good for star gazing from their new deck. The underside of the deck is vented with a couple of outdoor fans that make the area very nice all summer long, a nice respite from the heat of our Southern California summers.
