This recently retired couple bought a five acre parcel in Desert Hot Springs to build their dream retirement home. They designed the home to fit the property and their dreams. Beautiful vistas of the desert from the oversize covered patios were strategically worked into the design. After four years of desert living and their dream home complete, they realized they cannot sit and enjoy the spectacular views from their patios, due to extreme wind, heat and cold. The homeowner, a retired engineer, set out to find the best way to enclose his exterior patios without losing the feel of being outdoors. A google search took him to the SunBoss.com web site . They booked a design appointment with David from Sun Boss and after understanding the goal was to maximize views of the desert with a comfortable living area, it was a simple application for the Four Seasons Sunroom wall system. Combining “ConservaGlass Select” and the bronze framing, it brings in the views and vistas with all the extreme elements left outside. Two years later, they now use the covered patios in the way they originally intended, daily, regardless of the weather.
