This homeowner located in the city of Beaumont wanted to replace their porcelain bathtub with a walk in shower for his and his partner’s own safety. One thing with porcelain tubs is that they tend to be quite slippery and they also require resurfacing to keep their elegant appearance. He wanted to switch his tub and shower combo to a shower only so he does not need to step over his bathtub every time he wants to take a shower. We removed the homeowners bathtub along with all of the tile wall surrounds and replaced them with our own luxurious acrylic shower surrounds that are resistant to fungus, mold, and bacteria. This is a beautiful way to upgrade from porous tile and grout that can let all sorts of bacteria and mold. The glossy finish resembles photo realistic stone giving our homeowner a functional and aesthetic upgrade. We also put in a textured acrylic shower pan to help prevent slips. We then added in a few grab bars to the shower walls for added stability and safety along with a shower bench seat and a few corner shelves for soap and conditioner. Our homeowner was pleased with how much easier it was to access his shower and how much safer he felt using it.
